In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. | And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. | And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. |
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. | And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. | And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD? |
Do ye thus requite the LORD, O foolish people and unwise? is not he thy father that hath bought thee? hath he not made thee, and established thee? | For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: | Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him. |
For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: | All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. | Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. |
Thy hands have made me and fashioned me: give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments. | O LORD, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches. | For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. |
And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. | And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: | For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else. |
