I Samuel 18:27

Wherefore David arose and went, he and his men, and slew of the Philistines two hundred men; and David brought their foreskins, and they gave them in full tale to the king, that he might be the king's son in law. And Saul gave him Michal his daughter to wife. [(1) Michal, David's first wife & Saul's youngest daughter, no children]

I Samuel 25:3, 25:42, I Chronicles 3:1

[25:3] Now the name of the man was Nabal; and the name of his wife Abigail: and she was a woman of good understanding, and of a beautiful countenance: but the man was churlish and evil in his doings; and he was of the house of Caleb. [25:42] And Abigail hasted, and arose, and rode upon an ass, with five damsels of hers that went after her; and she went after the messengers of David, and became his wife. [II Samuel 3:3] And his second, Chileab, of Abigail the wife of Nabal the Carmelite; and the third, Absalom the son of Maacah the daughter of Talmai king of Geshur; [I Chronicles 3:1] Now these were the sons of David, which were born unto him in Hebron; the firstborn Amnon, of Ahinoam the Jezreelitess; the second Daniel, of Abigail the Carmelitess: [(2) Abigail, the Carmelitess, wife number 2, originally Nabal's wife, and later David's wife , who bore him a son called Chileab (II Samuel 3:3) who was also called Daniel (I Chronicles 3:1). David also had a sister whose name was Abigail. (1 Chronicles 2:16)]

I Samuel 25:43, II Samuel 3:2, I Chronicles 3:1

[I Samuel 25:43] David also took Ahinoam of Jezreel; and they were also both of them his wives. [II Samuel 3:2] And unto David were sons born in Hebron: and his firstborn was Amnon, of Ahinoam the Jezreelitess; [I Chronicles 3:1] Now these were the sons of David, which were born unto him in Hebron; the firstborn Amnon, of Ahinoam the Jezreelitess; the second Daniel, of Abigail the Carmelitess: [(3) Ahinoam of Jezreel, 3rd wife & mother of Amnon (I Chronicles 3:1)]

II Samuel 2:18

And there were three sons of Zeruiah there, Joab, and Abishai, and Asahel: and Asahel was as light of foot as a wild roe. (These were David's nephews and son's of Zeruiah, David's sister)

II Samuel 3:2, 13:28-29

[3:2] And unto David were sons born in Hebron: and his firstborn was Amnon, of Ahinoam the Jezreelitess; [13:28] Now Absalom had commanded his servants, saying, Mark ye now when Amnon's heart is merry with wine, and when I say unto you, Smite Amnon; then kill him, fear not: have not I commanded you? be courageous, and be valiant. [13:29] And the servants of Absalom did unto Amnon as Absalom had commanded. Then all the king's sons arose, and every man gat him up upon his mule, and fled. (Amnon was the second son that David lost)

II Samuel 3:2-5

[3:2] And unto David were sons born in Hebron : and his firstborn was Amnon, of Ahinoam the Jezreelitess; [3:3] And his second, Chileab, of Abigail the wife of Nabal the Carmelite; and the third, Absalom the son of Maacah the daughter of Talmai king of Geshur; [3:4] And the fourth, Adonijah the son of Haggith; and the fifth, Shephatiah the son of Abital; [3:5] And the sixth, Ithream, by Eglah David's wife. These were born to David in Hebron. ( Chileab was called Daniel in I Chronicles 3:1 below)

II Samuel 5:13

And David took him more concubines and wives out of Jerusalem, after he was come from Hebron: and there were yet sons and daughters born to David .

II Samuel 5:14-16

[5:14] And these be the names of those that were born unto him in Jerusalem ; Shammuah, and Shobab, and Nathan, and Solomon, [5:15] Ibhar also, and Elishua, and Nepheg, and Japhia, [5:16] And Elishama, and Eliada, and Eliphalet. (David's sons)

II Samuel 11:3, 5, 27, 12:18

[11:3] And David sent and enquired after the woman. And one said, Is not this Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam, the wife of Uriah the Hittite? [11:5] And the woman conceived, and sent and told David, and said, I am with child. [11:27] And when the mourning was past, David sent and fetched her to his house, and she became his wife, and bare him a son. But the thing that David had done displeased the LORD. [12:18] And it came to pass on the seventh day, that the child died. And the servants of David feared to tell him that the child was dead: for they said, Behold, while the child was yet alive, we spake unto him, and he would not hearken unto our voice: how will he then vex himself, if we tell him that the child is dead? (Son of Bathsheba, died at 7 days old & the first son to die. Eliam would be David's father-in-law.)

II Samuel 13:1

And it came to pass after this, that Absalom the son of David had a fair sister, whose name was Tamar; and Amnon the son of David loved her. (See I Chronicles 3:9 below, Tamar, the only daughter of David that is named in the Bible. Apparently, she was the daughter of David's wife Maacah in II Samuel 3:3 above)

II Samuel 14:27

And unto Absalom there were born three sons, and one daughter, whose name was Tamar: she was a woman of a fair countenance. (David's daughter-in-law by Absalom)

II Samuel 16:22

So they spread Absalom a tent upon the top of the house; and Absalom went in unto his father's concubines in the sight of all Israel. (Absolam, David's son, fulfilled his father's word)

II Samuel 17:25

And Absalom made Amasa captain of the host instead of Joab: which Amasa was a man's son, whose name was Ithra an Israelite, that went in to Abigail the daughter of Nahash, sister to Zeruiah Joab's mother. (Ithra was David's brother-in-law. Ithra is also called Jether in I Chronicles 2:17 below. The name Ithra is only used on time in the Bible.)

II Samuel 18:14

Then said Joab, I may not tarry thus with thee. And he took three darts in his hand, and thrust them through the heart of Absalom, while he was yet alive in the midst of the oak. (Job killed Absolam, who was the third son that David lost)

II Samuel 21:21

[II Samuel 21:21] And when he defied Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimeah the brother of David slew him. [1Chronicles 20:7] But when he defied Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimea David's brother slew him. (He was David's nephew and the son of Shimeah, David's brother )

I Kings 1:5-6

[1:5] Then Adonijah the son of Haggith exalted himself, saying, I will be king: and he prepared him chariots and horsemen, and fifty men to run before him. [1:6] And his father had not displeased him at any time in saying, Why hast thou done so? and he also was a very goodly man; and his mother bare him after Absalom. (Adonijah was David's fourth child. Absalom's mother was Maachah [II Samuel 3:3 above] the daughter of Talmai king of Geshur.)

I Kings 2:24-25

[2:24] Now therefore, as the LORD liveth, which hath established me, and set me on the throne of David my father, and who hath made me an house, as he promised, Adonijah shall be put to death this day. [2:25] And king Solomon sent by the hand of Benaiah the son of Jehoiada; and he fell upon him that he died. (This was the 4th son that David lost, although this was probably after David's death)

I Chronicles 2:13-15

[2:13] And Jesse begat his firstborn Eliab, and Abinadab the second, and Shimma the third, [2:14] Nethaneel the fourth, Raddai the fifth, [2:15] Ozem the sixth, David the seventh: (He was David's father )

I Chronicles 2:16

Whose sisters were Zeruiah, and Abigail. And the sons of Zeruiah; Abishai, and Joab, and Asahel, three. (David's sisters were Zeruiah & Abigail, but not Abigail the Carmelites, who had been Nabal's wife, and then David's wife. This was another Abigail.)

I Chronicles 2:17

And Abigail bare Amasa: and the father of Amasa was Jether the Ishmeelite. (Jether was David's brother-in-law and the husband of David's sister, Abigail. Therefore, Amasa was David's nephew )

I Chronicles 3:1-3

[3:1] Now these were the sons of David, which were born unto him in Hebron; the firstborn Amnon, of Ahinoam the Jezreelitess; the second Daniel, of Abigail the Carmelitess: [3:2] The third, Absalom the son of Maachah the daughter of Talmai king of Geshur: the fourth, Adonijah the son of Haggith: [3:3] The fifth, Shephatiah of Abital: the sixth, Ithream by Eglah his wife. ( Daniel was called Chileab in II Samuel 3:3)

I Chronicles 3:5-9

[3:5] And these were born unto him in Jerusalem; Shimea, and Shobab, and Nathan, and Solomon, four, of Bathshua the daughter of Ammiel: [3:6] Ibhar also, and Elishama, and Eliphelet, [3:7] And Nogah, and Nepheg, and Japhia, [3:8] And Elishama, and Eliada, and Eliphelet, nine. [3:9] These were all the sons of David, beside the sons of the concubines, and Tamar their sister. [(1) Shimea (also called Shammua in I Chronicles 14:4) , (2) Shobab, (3) Nathan, (4) Solomon {all children of Bathsheba}, and (5) Ibhar, (6) Elishama, (7) Eliphelet, (8) Nogah, (9) Nepheg, (10) Japhia, (11) Elishama, (12) Eliada, (13) Elihpelet, & (14) Tamar ]

I Chronicles 14:4

Now these are the names of his children which he had in Jerusalem; Shammua, and Shobab, Nathan, and Solomon , [(1) Shammua (also called Shimea in I Chronicles 3:5 above) , (2) Shobab, (3) Nathan, (4) Solomon, all children of Bathsheba]

I Chronicles 14:5

And Ibhar, and Elishua, and Elpalet, [(5) Ibhar, (6) Elishua (Elishama in I Chronicles 3:6), (7) Elpalet (Eliphelet in I Chronicles 3:6 above)]

I Chronicles 14:6

And Nogah, and Nepheg, and Japhia, [(8) Nogah, (9) Nephig, (10) Japhia ]

I Chronicles 14:7

I Chronicles 20:7

But when he defied Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimea David's brother slew him. (This Jonathan was David's nephew )

I Chronicles 27:32

Also Jonathan David's uncle was a counsellor, a wise man, and a scribe: and Jehiel the son of Hachmoni was with the king's sons: (This Jonathan was David's uncle )

II Chronicles 11:18

And Rehoboam took him Mahalath the daughter of Jerimoth the son of David to wife, and Abihail the daughter of Eliab the son of Jesse; [(15) Jerimoth seems to be a 15th child of David. See I Chronicles 3:1-9 above. Jesse, David's father, Eliab, David's brother, and Abihail, David's niece.]
